Full-Length Works
The Living Room, choreographed by Artistic Director Jared Baker, transports us to a quaint, eccentric, and whimsical setting that explores the concepts of isolation and self-discovery. Choreographed to Beirut’s newest album “Hadsel”, the piece reflects on the power of going inward, learning more about your own identity, and creating space for change. In a review on the album, Ben Cardew describes the album like “a lonely man who has invited his imaginary friends to a party”. In The Living Room, we see an individual who imagines her life filled with all the things she desires and needs, only to discover that those things exist inside of her.

“Lineage” was originally made possible by The Farrow Family in 2021.
Nova Linea’s inaugural performance “Lineage” explores themes on what shapes Nova Linea to its core. The words “Nova Linea” (New Line) stem from the concept of lineage, and how each of us can leave our own legacy. This legacy can be simultaneously influenced by our past, our present, and even our future.
