Katie Thuemling (Mukwonago, WI) began her dance journey at the age of three at Accent on Dance, where she received extensive training in various disciplines, from contemporary to pom. Her dedication and talent were recognized early on earning her the Miss Badgerette of the Midwest Title in 2019. Katie continued to excel at the University of Arizona, graduating summa cum laude in May 2023 with a BFA in Dance and a BA in Journalism. At university, she trained in modern, ballet, and jazz, performing works by acclaimed choreographers and participating in research at Gaga Lab by Ohad Naharin. She also had the opportunity to train with Jacob Jonas the Company at Orsolina.  She is currently a guest artist with Nova Linea Contemporary Dance. Katie’s return to Wisconsin marks a significant moment, as she now brings her successful college experience and professional insights back to her roots. Known for her detailed approach, Katie connects with her students through a relatable and engaging teaching style.  She is excited to contribute her expertise and enthusiasm to inspire the next generation of dancers.
